The winter season in Alta Badia is loved over all for skiing. Just 200 metres away from our Bed and Breakfast guests can reach the cable car of Piz Surega that allows to discover more than 1.200 kilometres of pistes of the Dolomiti Superski, 130 of which just in Alta Badia. From November till April you can ski in a winter paradise among fresh snow, magnificent sunny days and unforgettable panoramas.
Among the most beautiful slopes we want you to remember the piste of Lagazuoi of 8,5 km length, near to San Cassiano and the piste of VallonCorvara. On the other hand, among the most important ski tours, we advise the skitour of the Big War (Grande Guerra) and the renowned Sella Ronda tour.
Obviously skiing is not the only activity in San Cassiano, there are sports activities suitable for each taste.
At a distance of 3 km, in the locality of Sarè/Armentarola, the flagship of crosscountry skiing with its 38 km pistes in a magic environment is waiting for you. From here it is possible to undertake walks and excursions with snowshoes or to do ski mountaineering to experience a fascinating adventure in the nature of Dolomites.
Piz Surega is also the starting point of a beautiful piste for the sledge, that is reachable with the ski lift, and many beaten paths for your winter walks.
